Blue or White Color Options for 40x2 Character LCD Modules
Newhaven Display has added two new high-contrast color variations to its 40-character by 2-line LCD module lineup: blue and white, both featuring white LED backlights for clear, bright messaging in any environment.
NHD-0240AZ-FSW-FBW features an FSTN positive display with white backlight and transflective mode. This combination delivers excellent contrast and visibility in both bright sunlight and low-light conditions. The transflective design reduces power consumption by allowing the display to remain readable without the backlight in well-lit environments.
NHD-0240AZ-NSW-BBW features an STN negative blue display with white backlight and transmissive mode, producing vivid color output. This model requires the backlight for optimal clarity.
Both modules offer a 6:00 viewing angle (ideal when viewed from below), operate at 5.0V, and function across a wide temperature range of -20°C to 70°C. The built-in ST7066U controller and standard 4-bit or 8-bit 6800 parallel interface ensure straightforward integration with Arduino and similar platforms.
These displays are designed for demanding applications including medical devices, industrial controls, fire and safety systems, telecommunications, test and measurement equipment, and professional audio systems.
