This 7.0" MVA TFT LCD delivers 800x480 resolution with rich 24-bit color, wide 70° viewing angles, and high contrast for clear, consistent visuals. Its 600-nit LED backlight enhances visibility in bright indoor settings and varied ambient light.
Equipped with a 4-wire resistive touchscreen, this module provides reliable, straightforward touch interaction ideal for kiosks, medical devices, and industrial controls. The touch panel responds to pressure-based input, offering an intuitive interface without the complexity of multi-touch systems.
At the core is the FTDI FT812 Embedded Video Engine (EVE), which combines graphics, touch, and audio management into one integrated solution. Built-in support for widgets like sliders, buttons, and gauges helps speed up interface development. The module operates using a 3.3V supply and communicates over Serial SPI, making it compatible with low-cost microcontrollers.
The board features four mounting holes for easy installation and pairs seamlessly with Arduino using the NHD-FT81X-SHIELD (sold separately). Like all Newhaven Display products, it meets RoHS compliance and is designed for long-term reliability across a wide range of embedded applications.
