This serial LCD display has 20 characters on 2 rows and will show white pixels on a blue background when powered on. This transmissive, dual row display requires the backlight to be powered on and an optimal 6:00 viewing direction for the best visibility. This STN-negative blue LCD display operates with a 5V supply voltage and withstands a wide temperature range, operating in temps as low as -20°C and up to 70°C. It stands out with a bright white backlight on the side of the module to enhance visibility and readability in bright environments.

I really like these LCDs and have used them on several projects. The IIC especially, makes it much simpler with less wires. Props on their documentation it is excellent.
