The successful candidate will have a proven track record in inside sales and account management, someone who drives sales growth through proactive outreach and inbound lead qualification.


Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining and growing these accounts, and developing new customers through strong relationships based on trust and communication. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Respond to incoming calls answering questions, quoting customers, offering add-ons or alternative product offerings, and upselling wherever possible.
  • Oversee timely responses to RFQ's and other inquiries for the assigned accounts by coordinating efforts with Customer Service and Engineers.
  • Display excellent follow-up with customers to keep the sales momentum going and ultimately, get the order.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proactively reach out to potential customers to reactivate their business.
  • Understand customer needs and objectives and develop strategies to meet them.
  • Manage a pipeline of prospects and opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Work to protect all existing market share and expand products sold and volume at assigned accounts.
  • Work with Engineers to provide technical assistance to customers utilizing industry and product knowledge.
  • Develop individual sales plan/forecast with the Sales Manager, and meet or exceed the sales objectives on the assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and provide the Sales Manager with regular updates related to ongoing opportunities and projects, competitive analysis, market trends and territory opportunity.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market conditions and trends, keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
  • Work with appropriate internal personnel to maintain customers' purchase/pricing/terms files as needed.
  • Prepare status reports to include sales call activity, orders, required follow-up, and progress to goals to the Sales Manager.
  • Develop and maintain a level of technical knowledge to ensure an appropriate level of understanding of the company’s represented products, services, and their application to the customer.
  • Display knowledge of the company’s product lines and pricing.
  • Develop sales strategies, programs, and plans for existing and potential accounts.
  • Develop annual objectives and sales action plans and monitor actual results vs. plan results during the year.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Proven track record of smashing sales targets and driving revenue growth in a fast-paced, competitive environment (MIN 3 years).
  • Proven sales growth year over year.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to use MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, internet and email(Outlook).
  • Fearless attitude with a hunger for success and an unyielding drive to win.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Willing to travel on occasion <10%.
  • Hands-on experience in sales and an ability to deliver an excellent customer experience.
